Discpline Yourself

Today while addressing my fellow colleagues in the office for a morning brief, i discussed with them a concept i picked from one of my great mentor who is a very senior fellow on my job . He used to tell us to discpline ourselves or else you will be disclpine by others and guess what, when we give room for discpline by others we are dealt with mercylessly we give them chance to whip us with words and every available instrument of dealing with a deviant. This apply much to so many we need to learn to discpline ourselves on our job and not our job alone we need to discpline all aspect of our life. Jim Rohn (http://www.jimrohn.com) believe so much in discpline he said the only thing that stand between your goals and its accomplishment is discpline and courage. We need to learn to do what is expected of us at the right time and at the right moment, we need to discpline our self in sleeping, eating,drinking and all other excess that cramp our life. We must learn to do what is expected from us and even surpass the expectation of our superior.
Further more i will like to link this issue of discpline with PLANNING we also need to plan our lifes, for if we do not have the plan of our own definetly we will fall in to somebody plan and guess what, they have planned nothing or little for you. Take for example in my own country there is no plan for electricity,water,good road,employment, not to talk of welfare for anybody in this kind of situation you must plan for yourself if you do not plan for yourself you are taking a great risk
On your job your employer does not have plan for you his plan is to minimize his cost to the bearest minimum while his short and long term ultimate goal is to maximize profit, you are part of his resources he planned to use you get the better part of you squizze it out and throw you into the labour market with gratuity and may be pension to be paid by social insurance when you clock sixty years.
